LIVERPOOL'S OPEN EYE GALLERY is operational again at its new site http://www.openeye.org.uk/ . This superb new gallery starts the new year with two new exhibitions: Simpkins & Lueck;Richard & Famous and Painted Photographs - a selection of posstcards from Martin Parr's collection. Both 13th January to 18th March 2012.

Photographing Ness Botanic Gardens through the Seasons.

On behalf of Ness Botanic Gardens, on the Wirral, Heswall Photographic Society are organising a year long photo competition. The competition will run as 4 seasonal competitions, winter, spring, summer and autumn. The first season starts on 1 Dec, each season running for 3 months. There are a host of excellent prizes, including contributions from Max Spielman, Albelli, Welshot Imaging and many more. There will also be an overall annual winner.

Entry is only £1 per image, Images being written to CD (available free from Ness Visitor Desk, together with a special envelope to allow either posting back to Ness or dropping off in person).
